Chip Ross Park

Established in 1979, Chip Ross Park is a convenient park for a variety of users in and around Corvallis. The short trail system in the park provides access to hilltop meadows such as Dimple Hill with benches and fields for children to play. Since it's an off-leash dog area, Chip Ross park is also a favorite place for people to bring their dogs to run freely. Trails leading out of the park are perfect for mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. Chances are you'll see all these things on your visit to Chip Ross.

On a clear day, you can look out to both the Coast Range and the Cascades from the top of Chip Ross Park. On a cloudy day, enjoy the gnarled white oak trees, chattering songbirds, and dewy meadows.

While summer's long days and clear skies bring in the most crowds, the park is lovely year-round. Spring ushers in new growth and colorful blooms. Vibrant oak leaves tumble down in fall, and the occasional dusting of snow blankets the ground in winter. Quiet trails offer opportunities to view wildlife, such as deer and bluebirds, or if you're lucky, a bobcat.
