Hikers visiting Mirror Lake will enjoy spectacularly close and personal views of Mount Hood and Tom Dick and Harry Mountain.  Visit in mid-July and you'll also enjoy the trail's outstanding abundance of Pacific rhododendron in bloom, as well as Douglas's spiraea surrounding the lake's marshy southern end.

Because the hike is short and Portland is close, visitors will also notice the overwhelming crowds, especially on summer weekends.  Mirror Lake is easily the most trafficked hike in the Mount Hood area.  To separate yourself from the masses, climb an additional 800 feet in elevation to the summit of Tom Dick and Harry.

Awesome campgrounds. We went on a busy weekend but there were plenty of spots available. Busy during the day but not so much at night. Very peaceful. Lots of mosquitoes though so bring your repellent and maybe a face net. Highly recommend.

Amazing hike! Epic views of Mt Hood (and Jefferson, Adams, Rainier, & St. Helens on a clear day). Lots of trillium; rhododendron just starting to bloom. Just a tiny bit of scattered snow on the top of the ridge. Caught a few rainbow trout in the lake using spinners.

Magnificent in-your-face views of Mt Hood without much effort!
