Rodger's Beach is easiest to mention in relation to the more popular Baby Beach adjacent to it, which is unfortunate because Rodger's Beach is debatably equally beautiful and a better experience.

While Baby Beach is a tourist magnet and easily Aruba's most popular southern beach, Rodger's Beach lies a 2 minute drive away and benefits from not having the amenities of Baby Beach, and therefore not having the crowds either. Rodger's also has the refinery dominating the northern skyline, however the beach itself is clear blue, shallow with protected waters creating a great area for swimming or snorkeling, and has a few other features like covered picnic benches and a small pier with a ladder at the end that visitors can descend to the water from.

Rodger's remains a generally peaceful beach, with the surreal white sugary sand and bright blue waters. This is our pick for the best overall southern beach, however we're a little biased against the crowds.

Rodger's Beach does not have any amenities or lifeguards, which means no water and no bathrooms. But such is the price to pay to keep the touristy crowds 300 yards away!
